We are currently looking to fill the following volunteer needs:

***Reference Researchers***: SHINE is looking for individuals to volunteer their time completing reference phone calls(to vets, landlords and personal references) for potential adopter/volunteer applications. Forms and instructions will be provided via email. If you would like more information, please contact SHINE  or complete our online application today!

***Message Monitors***: SHINE is looking for individuals to volunteer their time checking and responding to messages left on the SHINE voicemail concernng adoption, referrals and volunteering. Instructions will be provided. This task should be completed at least twice a week. Support and advice can be provided via phone or email. ***Adoption Follow Up Coordinator***: This volunteer would be responsible to follow up with our wonderful adoptive families by phone/email/mail to get updated information on how our SHINE dogs are doing and if any contact information needs to be updated in the SHINE files. This task could be done monthly and may take 5-10 volunteer hours to complete. Can be completed from the comfort of your own home. ***Fundraising Coordinator***: SHINE is looking for an individual to volunteer their time researching, implementing and managing our fundraising efforts which ultimately support all of our rescue activities. ***Shelter Reporters***: SHINE is looking for people in each community around the Hampton Roads region to "report" about huskies in need at the shelters in each city/town. All information gathered can be submitted via our website and detailed instructions can be provided. This position could be completed about once a week(or as urgent needs require) and may take about an hour to gather information, evaluate the husky in need and then report back to SHINE.
